NPHC Gives Back to Moms and Teens

KC Divine 9 Golf Classic Friday, August 3, 2012

Currently thousands of young mothers and children in the greater Kansas City metro area are without funding for shelter, food, college-aid and general living expenses. These students and children are 63% more likely to add to the already alarming 42% dropout rate in the greater Kansas City area and the unemployment lines.  The National Pan-Hellenic Council of Greater Kansas City (NPHC) is addressing this situation by connecting compassion to action.

The KC Divine 9 Golf Classic will benefit the NPHC scholarship and community service efforts and Rachel's Teahouse, a 501(c)(3 organization that supports mothers and teens in crisis. The golf tournament will be held Friday August 3, 2012 among the luxury surroundings of Shoal Creek Golf Course, with an expected attendance of 250 friends and community members.

The event will include a 4-person scramble, Quick Start Breakfast, Awards Luncheon and Reception following the golf outing.  There will also be on-course contests, Pro-Golf Lessons and a Putting Contest!

The NPHC asks the community for help in making our Golf Tournament and Benefit a major success by participating as a sponsor. This is a great opportunity for your company to receive high visibility and help provide a bright future for the community in which your employees work and live – all at the same time!

As a participating sponsor, you will receive full recognition at the tournament, awards banquet and other NPHC Scholarship events and the appreciation of several young students and struggling young mothers!
